Communications

COMMUNICATIONS:

1.   LIFE THREATENING EMERGENCIES:  Dial 911 – the paramedics will take you to the nearest emergency room. Give them our business cards, so as to identify you are our patients. This will allow prompt communication to be established with our office.

2.   ROUTINE COMMUNICATIONS:

  • DURING OFFICE HOURS (Monday to Friday; 9am to 5pm):   Give the receptionist a detail message. Identify urgency to the receptionist, so we can handle the call appropriately.  Your call will be returned by the medical staff within 24-48 hours. If for any reasons, you are not contacted, please call again after 48 hours.
  • AFTER OFFICE HOURS:  Please note that this option is for URGENT SITUATIONS ONLY.  Routine issues like medication refills, questions about a test and non-urgent medical problems should wait until our regular office hours. Call 626-281-8663 and ask the operator to page the Comprehensive Cardiovascular Specialists doctor on call – your call will be returned by the on-call doctor.

 3.   TEST RESULTS:   The doctor will communicate test results to you at the time of your office visit. Our nurses are not allowed to give you lab results over the phone unless specifically authorized by the doctor.

4.   MEDICATION REFILLS :   For all routine medication refills, please ask your pharmacy to FAX YOUR REFILL REQUEST TO OUR OFFICE 3 DAY PIROR TO THE END OF THE MEDICATION SUPPLY. REFILLS WILL TAKE 72 HOURS TO PROCESS. We do not refill any medications on weekends or after hours.
